hi i have just put a t3,t4 t04e turbo on my car and at about 4.5k it full throttle its making a noies like wastgate chatter does any1 no why this is??

is the turbo brand new or 2nd hand? is it a garret turbo or a cheap one?

is the turbo boosting as it should?

 

Sounds like its surge, whats your spec and what boost are you running?

 

Sounds like surge to me too, as above spec etc

 

200 block 7.2 to 1 com, 4wd head std bd14 inlet an bd10ex, 500 cooler greys, new turbo runing at 30 then drops to about 28 27
and it dont seem as fast now even tho im runing the same boost as the t3.

if it is surg how can i sort it?

 

seems to only do this when it is in 5th gear??

 

cud it have anything to do with the wastgate?
