Default towing help?

Hi, i need some info about towing as i am lost with all the rules . i have a ford transit connect 1.8 turbo swb.

how much does the van weigh?
and
im towing a grass track vauxhall nova so itweighs just under a ton with trailer, is this too much to tow with my van? (i havent towed with it yet)

The amount you can tow and the weight of your vehicle will be shown in the handbook.

Essentially legally, without doing any kind of trailer test you are permitted to tow a trailer which does not exceed the weight of the vehicle you are towing with including it's contents nor would the weight of the trailer and contents of the trailer along with the weight of the towing vehicle exceed 3.5t.

as rick says, veichle cant weigh over 2.5 and trailor cant be over 1.5, and combined cant be more than 3.5 if you passed your test recently, but im guessing you havent.......

when did you pass your test?

im 99% sure youll be fine with that
