cossie fuel pump probs
what are the symptoms of a fuel pump going down????
i am driving along and the car will all of a sudden cut out.....!
pull up, check fuel cut off and its fine, turn key on and just hear a click from the pump, flick key a couple of times and you hear the fuel pump start to prime and then car will fire into life!!!
I also remember when i was at EA getting it set-up, paul said to me "bit of a strange one this, your on greys and you have loads of air, but its starting to det a lot earlier than i expected for a low comp engine!!"
now could this be my pump is fooked and is not pumping enough fuel as well!!!
where is the cheapest place to buy a super dooper fuel pump???
Pugo
pump looks like the original one

hello mate
could be the relays! i had an 85 2.0iS that similar symptoms to yours changed the relays under the glove box and it was fine ever since, not sure if the cossie has one or two relays (iS had two) might be worth a try.(cheaper than a new pump)
hth nick

As said above check relays etc, also common fault for wiring to break down.
Check voltage your getting at pump, was a thread on here couple weeks back by CraigN,SECS put up a reply on how to wire pump direct to battery threw a relay
