If the vehicle has a immobiliser try the spare key before you spend any cash, i had a couple of hours trying to sort out a deisel problem , pump ect then the wife put her key in to start it and it started straight away, key was not talking to the immobiliser

If it is a simple pump with a stop solenoid take out the stop plunger and try that.

I know you may say "i already tried that " but we had a vw caddy van with the same problem and i never thought about the spare key as i was a normal key with no chip or battery and i allmost removed the injector pump but as i said the wife put the plane key in and it started, i never knew a plane basic key had a chip in it but some do, sorry if you have tried all that but i thought iwould mention it.

The wife is never going to let me forget that
