are these easy to replace? the bit inside the box? changed my speedo drive cable and the bit u take off from the outside but it still dont work so assuming theres a problem with the bit that goes on the mainshaft.
Im guessing im gonna have to take the box off and apart but hoping its not gonna be too difficult

If you're on about the actual speedo drive pinion, then dead easy with all in place, I take the whole drive bit out when I put cables on, instead of pissing around with a circlip that wants to go all over the place, very easy job to do.

Nah sorry mate not the drive pinion, ive changed that with no joy including a new cable as the old one was burnt to buggery so must be the bit that sits on the mainshaft inside the box!!! which im assuming is a pig to do?!

Must have been damaged by the previous owner then as he fitted a re-con box to it before i bought it and it was off the road after that so didnt realise the speedo was broken, bastard lol.
