i finally got around to checking the voltage from my TPS today. When i wired up the multimeter to pins 11 and 17 i got a reading of 4.95v with no throttle, when i pressed it gently it slowly and smootly decreased in voltage but on WOT it only went down to 1.3v?!
I also noted that if i do it from the engine bay and move the throttle by hand winding it as far as it can go it does drop to about .5v ish!!! which is obviously what its supposed 2 read.
Could a worn/stretched throttle cable be the cause of the problem or something else possibly?!! bit confused!!
PS ive undone the screws holding the tps in place and let it return to where its happy which gave a resistance reading of 1 which is pretty much spot on!!
Cheers

There is a tiny amount of lost motion due to the way the linkage works on the tb, but just get someone to mash the pedal whilst you look to see if it is wide open, and adjust if necessary.

how do u adjust the TB?! or did u mean the TPS?! its obviously not opening wide throttle using the pedal if im getting a reading of 1.3v using the pedal but .5v by doing it by hand on the TB!!

right went out just now and wedged the throttle down with a level bar so throttle should be full open but took the cooler pipe off and its only about 3/4 open!!
Im guessing now when u said adjust it u meant by the white plastic threaded bit on the cable mount?! If so i just adjusted it so it opened the tb fully the meter now reads .5v at WOT and 4.97 closed throttle so when i pick the gf up later will see how she handles!!!
The car that is not the gf btw..................

Right took the shitter for a spin, when cold the idle still rises and hunts but does try and return to normal, but once its warm while ur driving or stationary the revs sit at anything between 1500-2k, if u unplug the iscv and plug it back on its fine but blip throttle and shes off again!!
Seeing as tps readings seem on now ive adjusted it, and the fact its running rich, could a faulty CTS cause a problem like this?!

So we know TPS is ok, not convinced it would be CTS seen as this is used to determine the base level of fuel injected from freezing to boiling and so you would probably notice driving problems with it. It works on same 5V principle as TPS so you could measure the output of this, be careful when testing as the outputs are not linear, but you need to know temp to output for this sensor which I am sure will be on here.

so other than the CTS, its the TPS seems ok would it possibly be a problem with the chip in it??! I know julian godfreys fitted it for the previous owner but due to the clutch slipping and being on 85k miles it didnt like having greys and a t34 being fitted and was smoking too lol, so they never did a full set -up/check up on the chip they fitted!!!
There isnt any driving problems as such and is fine boosting etc althou its still only set too .5bar, the only niggle really is the one i said about when u slightly touch the throttle it hold back and hesitates till u give it a bit more and its fine
Obviously long term i need to boook it in somewhere but trying to fix as many niggles as i can before it goes in, also fuel pump has been rewired so nothing to do with that either!!
