not the best method, but remove the red bit from the end of your key and tape it to the ignition barrel.

the imobiliser keeps kicking in when cold so i cant start the car i have been told it would cost 1000 to have it sorted because it would need ecu, key traciever, barrel ,and all sensors replaceing , the car is thirteen years old it is a good runner when it starts like i said it only happens when it is cold once started which can take up to two hours my latest way of starting it is to heat the inside of the car with a blow heater i think ecu may have a short or dry joint and the heat is may be expanding it this is why i want to disable imobiliser but have been told it cannot be done

when you say it wont start, does it actually turn over or just the ignition lights come on and when you try to crank, then it wont do anything?

could possibly be a faulty transponder around the ignition barrel or an ignition control module?

if it was a faulty crank sensor the car would just turn over as normal but not fire as it wouldnt send a signal to the Coil pack to give a spark
