Default Wont start

Can someone please help, I took my RS out the other day, drove it hard for a bit then when I stopped at a roundabout it cut out and wouldnt restart. The dash all lights up but when I turn the key theres nothing, not even a click. Ive tried charging the battery. The car will bump start but as soon as you turn it off it wont start. Thanks.

The fact it cut out would suggest it lost ignition/electrics.
With it now bumping no problem you know it's not fuel related, so need next to look at the solenoid feed at the starter.
When you turn the key it energises the solenoid on the starter to engage the starter and make it turn the engine, these get stuck, so give it a good clout first often works, but if no joy check for power on this connection, should be most likely black and blue, as black is(switched) live on fords.
If you bridge the two large connections on the starter, the two 13mm nut ones the starter will spin, but won't be engaged, as it needs the solenoid to throw out the starter pinion onto the flywheel.
If no power at the wire check from the switch etc.

Sorted, it was a bodged connection on the solenoid. Took it out for a spin got it up to temp and on the way home the alternator belt snapped. Cheers.
