track car help
hello peeps.
im converting my fiesta zs to a toy for track, im sticking a 2.0 duratec in it, just building the engine up now.
ive got a rough idea, poly windows, cage, seam weld, DTA management, etc
just wondering what else i could have missed out?
I want it to be a proper little toy
any website, forum link or suggestion welcome
cheers peeps

Have you checked out www.zsoc.com there are plenty of track orientated mk5 fiestas on there. A good fuel system and brakes, gauges etc to keep an eye on things. Speak to Olli at OC Motorsport he's just done a full conversin using he 2.0 Duratec and its absolutely rapid!

im on zsoc, but alot of there cars are slightly modded track/road cars, im after a more hardcore track car only.
ive search for track car prep (and similar stuff on google but comes up with alot of random stuff.
got gaz coilovers with adjustable damping
brake i was thinking the popular mk3 mondeo caliper or hi spec 4 pots
maybe a manual fire extinguisher plumbed in
i might buy a 2nd set of wheels and stick slicks on, 888's are good
what about asphalt tyres like hankook Z209?

I wouldnt use lo-spec,too many bad tales about that company. The mondeo route will be a cheap fix,or if you want the proper 4 pots contact Tony in my sig.Slicks are expensive, unless you use 2nd hand 17" ones, but can't see you getting enough room to fit them on a fiesta.I know nothing about the hankooks, never used them.Regards,Micky
