hey people when settin the ignition timing on me xr3i do i do it with vacum on or off at the dizzy

cheers do i set it at 12degrees btdc yeah
also with the vac on after settin it looks to be at about 22 -24 degs btdc is that right

12btdc is running super unleaded. If its advancing that much when you plug it back in again, it sounds like its plugged into a direct manifold vacuum port. It should be on a ported vacuum port (before the throttle blade)
