Ive got a 4x4 sapphire cosworth.

The car has been stood for several months and iv got it back on the road a couple of weeks ago, now iv never had any problems with the gearbox until now.
i was using the car for most of the day with no problem, i wasnt giving any shit as had girlfriend and 3 year old in car so driveing sensibly.
i pulled away in first gear and went to put in second and it didnt feel right and had no drive so tried a couple more times to no availe.
i have all other gears ok.
now i managed to get car home where i stopped car and selected 2nd ok and even pulled away ok.
i tried again just now and was ok if i selected slowly until i had been driving about for 10 mins, then it wouldnt go in again, it wont go in from 3rd gear either unless i do it really slowly or am stopped.

now as i said the car has been stood a long time and i dont know when gearbox oil was changed is it worth changing that and trying or is it a fault on 2nd gear syncro??

anyone else had this problem??

well...i have a mt75 box in my saff 4wd...and its not the fastest gearbox.

sometimes i get it hard in the gears.

 

1st gear is also difficult to select.
