Default Can someone identify this for me?

Evening all.
Mk4 Escort XR3i EFI.
Small gold box mounted on bulkhead behind instrument cluster within car that has two red cables, one brown and one black & yellow cable coming out of it.
Can anyone tell me what this is?
Also, what do one of the red cables and the black & yellow connect to-ignition barrel?

Thanks

If it's a thick red cable most likely does go to ignition barrel, black on a ford is a SWITCHED live, don't know if this is much help, but it might be helpfull to look under STARSHIP ENTERPRISE!!

Thanks Tabetha.
That does help although the cables are only thin red and I think one goes out in the boot so must be something small like stereo or something like that maybe.
I am going to trace the wire into the boot to get a better idea, cannot be anything major as car is starting alright!
Thanks again

That makes sense yes as one red cable goes out to the back of the car-thanks.
In that case do you know how to wire it up?
It has one brown that goes to earth, one red goes to the boot which leaves one other red and a black & yellow wire to connect-any ideas?
Thanks
