Hello great forum here, been on here a while but this my first post, lots of valuable threads on this site which is why i keep coming back, anyhow, im looking to buy a Focus st170 at the end of the year and ive been pondering to get it turboed..

Im quite a new comer to this sort of thing but i would really like to learn more. Is it just a case of buying some Focus RS parts like the manifold, turbo, exhuast, intercooler ect. then fixing it straight to a ST170 engine? or would i need a different headgasket, pistons or whatever?

Also i am guessing it will need a different engine management? If so which one?

Im not looking for mega horsepower but something around the 250 mark would be great. As i will be using for a everyday motor.

Not quite that simple mate lots os differences between the 2 cars.....but there are a few on here that have turbo'd zetec units but also a supercharger could be a good option. Have a chat with Will at MSD

 

thanks, i thought it might be hard to do, i could either do that or swap the engine out for a Focus RS item, cheers .
