If its series1 rs turbo its silver under drivers side footwell, s2 is pink same position
at footwell, try fuse in the fuse box first ,if the fuse is ok bypass fuel relay at base of relay by bridging pin30 and 87 at relay base with a piece of wire pump should run if pump does not run check at pump for battery volts,

i assumed by your title s1 200bhp. u were running a escort turbo, with efi pump,
but now not sure, is it 1.6 efi xr3i, if so same checks to find out if pump or relay,
or fuse,

just a mates cars we fitted a new fuel pump fse type now got no power 2 it
thing is dont no what colour the fuel pump relay is as its not the same as the mfi

 

checked the fuel cut off valve thats ok
