deisel gearbox help

Default deisel gearbox help

ive got a series 1 rs turbo and i want to put a deisel box in.ive got a new rs clutch 220m with series 2 flyweel and a 1.8 diesel thrust bearing,but with the box on dosent seem to have much leveridge on the arm but still engages the clutch ok.is this normal?i dont know beacause the engine is out the car at the minute.it also seems like the cable will be slack but as i say i dont know yet can anybody help?

when fitted ajust the clutch ratchet and all should be fine. but why are you fitting a diesal box? and befor you say its stronger its a big mith im afrayed all the bairings are the same in the bc boxes

Prob as good a time as any to abort and go find an LSD box!

i had this with mine ! i fitted an escort mk5 pedal and quadrant this way you can adjust it yourself. worked great for me ! straight forward 2 !

had a brand new deisel gearbox given to me.do i need a series one metering unit to match a series one loom as i dont have one?

Did the same on a S2 i used the turbo release bearing, the turbo and diesel clutch kits are a differant part number but they use the same release bearing according to the QH catalog ?
But they do use differant ratchets i beleive to take into account the differant lifts on the clutch covers ?
