Hey all,

Just got maself a new rs, love it to bits. Only problem I have is its idling awful high? around 1500-2000 revs. I changed throttle sensor. any other ideas had this problem with my series 1 but cant remember how I fixed it It was lying around for 6 months maybe need a tune? although it runs sweet as a nut. Cheers to anyone who gives up some info

 

i have high idling on my supercharged mondeo and when i unplug the iac valve it coughs a bit then idles normal. so i guess my iac is fooked

 

I would check silly stuff like a sticky throttle cable.

hey guys thanks for help. ive checked throttle cable. its fine sumtimes and not others. sometimes i drive it it comes down to normal but other times i pull up to a junction n it away up there must be sumthing daft cheers again

 

Throttle position switch playing up??

 

my xr2 1.6 cvh fast idles now and again, but if I blip the throttle quickly a couple of times it brings it back down to normal
