cossy management mate is what you want im new to this 16v turbo aswell you can leave your normal engine loom in for the starter alternator ect.and the cossy management loom sits on top of it and plugs in to the sensors for the turbo running gear,iv also found out that you need a p8 ecu to run the 16v engine, you can also use a zetec manifold insted ov drilling for the frst manifold and use either racing puma injectors or ducati bike injectors, hope this helps

Hi mate i would defo go for pectel t2 as this is brand new for starters, also fully mappable and was designed for the zetec engine in the formula ford series of racing. First mate i run ofab with a ahmed bajoo live map and was fine but after a while it started having cold start running issues due to the secondhand wiring harness you just dont know what people have done to these before you brought it , with a stand alone management you have a new ecu , wiring harness with no faults etc.
To me it makes sense that if you have spent good money on your engine making it reliable ie pistons, rods etc why go and put something unreliable on the car ,thats just my opinion and hope it helps you
p.s ian howell would be your best bet ecu and wiring harness is about Ł1200 to Ł1300 i think plus about Ł300 for a live amhed bajoo map
cheers paul and good luck!

when the previous owner of my car done the zetec turbo conversion (its a mk1 mondeo) he ran it on the standard management and it ran OK, he converted it to fiesta turbo management and it ran much worse and drank fuel.
eventually he fitted megasquirt, mapped it up properly and it runs brilliant and delivers excellent mpg.
problem is with running it on standard management it will seem to you like its running well, but it will be very lean (especially at high rpm's) and detting

megasquirt it, it's cheap and really good. as above mentioned old looms can cause trouble. loads of zetec turbo maps avalible on the megasquirt forums. you can use any injector with it high and low impedence can do launch and boost control and anti lag too!!!!!
hope this helps.

Under the car...!
Bit of a thread revival lads...
Im trying to work out whether to stick with the Pectel T2 ecu and loom Ive already got for my zetec silvertop turbo project, or get a new ECU as I dont know who can map that pectel (and its bloody old now)
Any ideas for budget ish solutions?! I was thinking megasquirt but want a plug and play loom really. Turbo is a turbonetics T04b iirc and Im looking for about 350-400hp tops to try not to blow the engine (forged internals) up too fast
Cheers

Under the car...!
Cheers mate
will have a search for how to get hold of him. Keeping the pectel would be a bonus cost wise, but its got guff all safety features !! but would save me a new ecu setup etc. Having said that it may be password protected, i think ahmed bayjoo managed to work on it tho on the last engine so it must be possible (rip ahmed)

I am building mine with the Focus Rs ecu. Does limit who can tune it ( sabre tuning ) but will be cheap and cheerfull. I think a stage 1 flash tune will be more than enough for me.
