Default Which head

I currently have a standard 88 mk2 xr2 and am about to start and modify it..
Iam going down the old fashioned route of ,head, cam, twin 40,s etc..
Its just a weekend blaster so lairy cam, head is what iam after.it wont have to sit in traffic every day.
Now onto my main question can a rs turbo cam/head or a xr3i xr2i cam/head be used on my carbed cvh as these are more readily available,or can i only use a xr2;xr3 one...thanks in advance...

Your head will be the lean-burn type so you cannot use a 3i/RS head unless you change the pistons for Hemis

Always the way, you can get good resuts from a tuned lean-burn head, i did one for a friend of mine a few years back and it was a flyer. I would go down the bike carb route as opposed to the 40s, they are way more reliable and cheaper to buy.

Tb's are the way to go, but depends on budget, but a lot use tb's from bikes, any carb/s is a backward step, but what some want.

Tabetha, you haven't factored in cost. I could do a bike carb conversion on a cvh for about £30. To use bike tbs and an ecu would cost me £400 min. That's a big difference.

I would say they are capable of more power to be honest, they seem to have the edge over 40s, 40s now are getting old wheras bike carbs from a modern motorbike have moved on and more advanced. Its not very often you see a motorbike lacking power!
