Unhappy 1.3 fiesta running poblem

hi all my wife has a 1.3 fiesta on a 97 plate,there seems to be 2 problems,1 when you put the accelerator to the floor it seems to have a flat spot and no power so you have to take your foot off a bit and it goes again,the second is sometimes it kangaroos as,this can happen at anytime,any ideas cheers

No idea why but my Ka has that same flat spot, goes faster part throttle. it does clear up if i pootle about in 2nd for ages then just boot it. think mines something todo with the oil seals in the turbo have gone, fouling the plugs. could be totally wrong tho!

yeah ours is the same,the other problemis a nightmare,you can drive around for ages then allof a sudden the car just doesnt want to go as though its going to stop,then all of a sudden it clears up and yor off again,it does kangaroo really bad.

Sounds like a throttle position sensor gone tits up.

on the throttle body, i just so happen to have a spare so will give that a try in the morning!
