Default 2.5 V6 Duratec

Car is lumpy on tick over, its missing and spluttering under load up untill 3k when the secondaries kick in, then it pulls like it should. the car has ffsh had a mini service since i bought it, but the plugs were not changed. it has been a bit funny starting once or twice over the last few month, i thought it will because i havnt changed the plugs, but with the new problems, im thinking maybe the maf ?

Any ideas/advice greatfully recieved

My older ST24 has this trouble few months back, I plugged in my Bluefin used its fault code reader and got a fault code P102 I think it was. This is dodgy MAF. What I did was to get some ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL spray (Servisol IPA 170) got mine from Maplins cost about £5-£6.

Give the MAF a spray and this spray cleans and dries instantly, best thing as MAF is a delicate thingy and well it worked for me.

Not saying this is your problem, but it worked for me and cheaper than a new MAF I'm sure.

Cheers mate, that was my plan, clean the maf first, see what happens. ive spoke to a few on the mondy forums, and they all said the maf would be the first thing to check as the sensor getting dirty is a common apparently. someone said it could be the coil pack as that isnt an uncommen thing to go on them either.

Cheers for your reply fella
