Question Escort 1.8 16v starting probs

Right strange one this,

Engine has been transplanted into a fiesta and it did start ok but has since had to have head gasket done and now wont start unless you apply full throtle and ease off slowly.

Now what make it even worse is that if you take off the TPS and turn it with a screw driver to what would be full throtle and ease it back whilst turning the engine over it starts.

While your doing this you can hear the injectors "click" with the TPS in the idle position and when full throtle no "click" ease it off so you get a few "clicks" turn it to full and then the car starts let the TPS go back and its fine idle's great if you keep the TPS at full it just dies.

Fuel pump is a strange one too when you turn the ignition on it primes up like it should but when you turn the ignition off it continues to run for a prolonged prime but when the car is actually running and you turn the ignition off the engine stops fuel pump still runs for a good 10 sec tho

Any ideas anyone?????????????

Will be back on it tomorrow im thinking it could be a wiring issue but i dont have the right diagram the engine and loom are from a L reg 1.8 escort eec iv with external eddis, just in case any one has the correct loom diagram.

Thank's all
