Default somthings grinding

hoping some one can help me as im not mechanically minded...
ive got a 96 escort 1800 si its had a fair few mods carried out on the engine by the previous owner and is roughly producing 150 bhp
the clutch has been uprated to a 6 paddle organic item and its had a quick shift fitted aswell
now heres the problem... there was a slight clicking noise coming from the nsf wheel and the steering was gently pulling me left i put this down to somthing in the tyre and thourght i had a puncture i stopped to check and couldnt see anything obvious after anouther half our of driving the clicking noise became considerably worse and now has started to make a ginding and scraping noise
when i accelorate it makes a loud click/metalic slaping noise and when i take my foot off the accelorator it starts too grind and whirr i can feel a slight vibration coming back thru the gear stick but the gear box is still selecting all gears as normal and the clutch doesnt seem to be slipping
infact it doesent seem to affect how the car drives and now the noises have got worse its not pulling anymore
id really apreciate any help diagnosing this

Could well be the CV joint. Check the rubber boot for rips etc.
