Default cold start problem

good evening people i have a s2 escort turbo h plate n when i start it from cold it runs fine 4 bout a minute n just keeps dying then untill it warms up properly then ok! then wen drivein it 1 min itll tick ova sound then the revs will drop to low n to mins later will rise far to high, its been played with alot and tuned so do you think it just needs a profesional set up? thanks.

i had the same problem with mine and never found out what it was, i hope you find out as i still got my s2 in the garage

i remember it did my head in getting in and out the car (ALL THE TIME) turning the throttle up and down plus i had the starter problem were it wouldn't spin when warm so i kept getting stuck at lights looking like a nob

GOOD LUCK YOU WILL NEEED IT I TRYED EVERYTHING!!!

My opnion on this issue is that the idea behind "warming up" a car in the mornings used to be because driveability was so bad that if it didn't run for awhile it would stall out. The idea of NOT warming up a car in the morning is that a cold engine has loose tolerances.
