Default Plumming up S.P.A gauges

Now that i have my engine stripped and sorted out, its time for the rebuild. in doing so i have decided to plum in the 'S.P.A Design' gauges i have. The gauge was mounted in the car when i bought it but never plummed in. The gauge is for oil temp and oil pressure. were and what do i 'tap' into to connect these???

i 'think' one is by the oil filter, and the lad i bought the car off said he had to buy a smaller adapter which i have, to clear the filter.

anyone???? lol

I have my oil pressure/temp tapped into the block for my low oil press switch that screws into the side of the engine block.

You could do that or take the temp reading from the sump, by making a fitting on the sump whilst engine out.

My oil pressure switch is tapped into there as well.
The oil temp sender is plumbed into a special fitting on the sump....prevously it fitted into a specially modified sump plug that Mike Rainbird was able to get made up at an engineering place local to him. That did the job just as well to be honest and was easy to fit at the time of the next oil change

maybe these can help shed light on the problems..... these are the fittings and sensors which came with the kit. do they look like everyone elses????

the switch behind the oil filter

oil temp sensor

pressure sensor

pipe work

adapter

instructions (easy to follow - if i knew were to go from first lol)

Basically how would you lot go about plumming these in if you had to do it with these type of sensors.
regards, Riggie.

you have a 4x4 engine then as you dont have the oil feed to the turbo coming from where the standard low oil press switch is.

To fit the gauge you need to remove the standard oil press switch and screw the copper coloured fitting in to the block and then attach all the senosrs to the block.

that small copper fitting is a drilled out sump plug.

you could put the oil temp in there.

If thats a sump plug fitting!!!!! i bloody hope so, that would make it all easier. it i fit the temp in the adapter in the sump, then plum the pressure switch into the sensor behind the filter using the double adaptor. that way i will have the SPA gauge and could still plum the original oil pressure switch in too.
