L8 vs P8 ECU
Hello all,
I've got a problem with my (stage 1) Escort Cosworth (P8 ECU). My Escos doesn't pass the Dutch MOT (APK) because the CO level is to high (3000 rpm 0.97 wich should be 0.39). I run a turbo back Magnex in wich i've welded a 3" racekat.
As the P8 ECU doesn't have a mixture ajustment screw i thought of fitting a L8 ECU (only for the test). I've been told the L8 ECU does have a mixture ajustment screw, swaps straight on with the P8 ECU and can run the "P8 Escos".
Do you know if this is correct? I could also try to find a standard chip but i don't know any (i'm in The Netherlands) and i do know a standard L8 ECU.
Regards,
Mark

You might even try a fuel regulator from a rs 2000 that's a straight swap to a escos fuel rail I believe it's 2.7 bar FPR.
It could help for MOT but don't drive it hard with it.
