Where should the boost gauge needle sit when on idle? as mine is sitting on -30psi

should sit at 0 i think....

If it sat at 0 on idle it means it is VERY economical, as the engine is STALLED!!
Will normally be around 0.6BAR/8.7PSI

mine is at -10psi on idle, and this is about the norm from what i gather.
