wilwood brakes - bleeding???

My mates got wilwood 4 pots on his rst. We have just fitted a rear disc conversion and the thing would not bleed properly!!
He did say something about wilwood calipers bleeding themselves!!?? Anyway couldn't get it bled in the end. Does anybody know the score with these?????

Kev i know this may sound like a dumb question pal where is the bleed nipple m8 top or bottom a friend of mine did a rear disc conversion years ago and put the calipers on the wrong side (BLEED NIPPLE AT THE BOTTOM) it wont bleed the air out of the caliper

We did a straight swap off an old series two that had a saph rear disc conversion - we just swapped the whole hubs and carriers. To be honest I didn't look at that though!! I was the pedal pusher during that bit. Did have a look at his front wilwoods though and they have a nipple top and bottom!!
I did get him to try the top ones!!

That dont help then erm prob best thing to do goto halfords and invest in an easy bleed try and pressurise the fluid through

i got willwood 4 pots on my s2, they dont bleed themselves!! get a easy bleed kit and try that also u got to bleed em with the wheels off and the car sitting level, mine have 2 bleed nipples at the top (one for each side of the caliper) the bottom just have a connecting pipe

You will need vehicle on the ground with the wheels on to bleed up the rear brakes, if you have it jacked up with the rear suspension hanging down then the load proportioning valves in the brake lines will block the fluid flow to the rear brakes.
You can bleed them up with the wheels off, just make sure the jack/axle stands are under the rear suspension arms so the weight of the vehicle is on the suspension.
