Default Mondeo TDCi starting problems

We have an automatic 52 reg mondeo TDCi 2.0 in for service. After replacing the fuel filter we cant get it started. It runs for a couple of seconds and dies.

We have primed fuel filter with hand pump, tried easy start, reprogrammed the injectors. We have sent the car to a diesel specialist and they have checked the electrics on the fuel side and everything is ok.

We rang Ford and they say all you can do is tow start them. Its automatic so thats out.

We have checked the engine top to bottom and cant find any other faults.

Ive read other posts on TDCi starting faults and we have tried what they suggest with easy start but we can only get it running for a few seconds at most.

Please help before we have to call the fire brigade!!!

How did you program the injectors?

Check if it has two fuel pumps or just one pump. Some models have a secondary pump at the side of the fuel tank on the drivers side.

If it has got the extra pump, unplug it and power it up with a power probe. it should buzz constantly. If it buzzes intermittently or not at all that could be the cause of the engine not running
