has any one got any info or links on how to do rear disk conversion on a mk 6 escort gti with abs.
I no that you can't use a mk5 rs2000 rear beam as it does not have abs on the rear wheels
Also i dont want to loose the abs.

Just go with the mk5 rear beam mate, the abs has such little effect on the rear you wont even notice it.

 

Has this been done. just ignoring the abs don't sound that clever to me.

 

As far as I'm aware the mk5 rs2000 only had ABS active on the front.

 

Pumabuild do a conversion using Focus rear discs retaining the ABS. I'll try find the link.

hi leeroy thanks for the link do you no are they standard focus st170 rear hubs or have they been moddeed to take the sensor and on the hub it self are the abs pick ups standard or is that an after market jobbie.

I don't know the details, sorry. When researching for my own rear disc conversion I came across it, but I just needed a RS beam for mine.
