xr2carb probS, HELP!!!
right i took filter off an gave carb a good spray with cleaner, drove it for a while after wards seemed ok, not much different, to be honest i think i need to take it apart realy, but was just a temp fix, anyways drove out later this evening to drop my bird off an it wont idle now, if i hit the clutch revs just drop an car dies, its fine wen going along, a bit lumpy i spose but seems ok, but have to hold accerator wen im waiting an juggle between, brake/hand brake to slow it down, so not fun!! any ideas???
its the twin choke type i think (e reg) so maybe 2nd choke is flooded??!!! (as if i put my foot down to the floor it realy hesitates, an then goes wich is also well annoying!) wich means new carb time i spose...

it is the idle jet blocked on the first choke[venturi] if your jets are in the center of the carb as you look down ,unscrew them one at a time as you dont want to mix em up ,give them a good blow through and refit
them ,this should sort them out ,if it is the other type of weber then the idle jets are located on either side of the carb body ,and the same process applies

ok mate il have a look, as i look down at it there are 2 holes, one (nearer to the front windscreen) has the gold thing that moves if u tap the accerator an fumes come out of if u run the engine with the filter off, an the other is just hole with no gold thing........ if that makes sense... ! wich type of carb is that.. (e Reg car)
realy need to take that mechanics apprenticeship!
