Hi everyone!
I've just purchased a second hand S8 ECU
But when I try to establish the communication I get a message telling me that I need to upgrade the ECU
I sent an e-mail to SECS but as Simon seems to have stopped is business I was wondering if anyone could have saved this firmware and could send it by email..

My software version is 8021-x/100

The hardware version is H/W: 15400-COSV05
The ECU Software version is S/W: S8ECU-8015-F

I guess I need an ECU software version S8ECU–8021-x

I can do nothing else

The file should be S8UP8021.ECU

 

i have software version 8021-103 dont know if this is the one you want.

 

I'm in touch with Simon so it should be fine soon.

Off the top of my head I'm not sure what my HARDWARE version is, I may go out and check in a mo.



pm me your email and Ill send you the 8019 software, install that (delete the other S8 file in C: drive saving any maps you have somewhere else first!!!) then you just have to install this software on the comp and do the 'ecu update'


Always save your maps somewhere else, as an ecu update can corrupt a map (well I had it once, not worth the risk!!)

 

Oh and this version doesn't work on xp
