Default S2 Boost Problem!!

hey guys, my ERST playin up yet again but hey im sure i dnt have to tell u lot that!! lol....

just put a brand new t04e T3/T4 turbo on it. got everything sorted and running, BUT, the damn thing takes ages gettin the boost up and when it does, at about 3500 rpm, it only hits 5 psi and dont go no further, as well as that it spits out a little smoke from the exhaust till i let off and the smoke goes. ive played with the actuator and the bleed valve but just cant seem to sort it. the only thing i can think of is the wastegate dont cover the exit hole on the turbo and the exhaust gases are escaping thru that instead of spinning the exhaust turbine?! (just to let u know the actuator is nice n tight and should easily cope with holding the fumes inside the turbo providing the wastegate is covering the hole properly...)

any suggestions guys???

im in Feltham, Middx if any1 is close by to help.......

ALSO.... im selling the car too. i changed the turbo coz the old 1 was knackered and knew i cudnt sell it like that so any suggestions before i sell it or any1 who wants to buy it and knows whats the matter with it then pls msg me!!

cheeRS again guys.....

may be your dumpvalve or amel valve if you have either of them fitted

a mate of mine just had the same sort of problem on his s1 and it turned out to be a hairline crack on turbo housing, wasnt visable from the outside either, only when it had been run for a wile and then the turbo was removed................

didnt buy it from a turbo place in brentford by any chance?

i fuckin hope it aint that! it was a turbo from the usa off ebay, brand new, seems to spin n stuff fine. just dont think a hairline crack wud let out so much boost without it bein obvious!
