as said above..

had this in my red mk4 in my sig...but dont know what was needed to do it..

1.6cvh engine...and i can use my 4speed box off my 1.3 engine but what needs to be changed and what parts from what engine do i use

yer thats what was in my red popular (my sig pic)

worked realy well...quite nippy pulling away but topped out at 110mph

All you need is the 4 speed box and selector. Bolt it straight up to the block.

should all fit the same..... won't give you any better acceleration though as it has the same final drive and gears as the 5 speed equivalent, just missing a cog!

For quicker acceleration and good top end with that engine your best bet is the 4.27:1 ratio XR3i box

uve got exactly what i have m8, i bought a 1.3 bonus, dropped in my 1'6 xr2 lump, it fits straight onto 4 speed box, all u need is lump, engine mount, rad, hoses and zaust. but as that man said, ur better off with an 3i box, as i get to top speeed too quickly but i havent had any probs up to yet with mine, and its ben about 6 months

plus...how are you wiring it all up?? what cvh are you using?? my 1.3 hcs lump had sum stupid management on it, so i had to wire up the dizzy and coil setup myself. but is isnt hard.

lol jay, i just used my standard mk3 1.3 cvh carb box and bolted it up to my 1.6 carb mk4 engine just had to change the drivers engine mount to fit in my mk3 as the mk sits higher piece a piss lol
