Default idle valve for anti lag

Can anyone help. Does anyone know how to modifie the idle speed valve on a cosworth to run anti-lag

Take the nut off of the bottom and pull the plunger out and spring etc. then drill a big hole either side of the valve where the original slot is,
Make sure you file down properly including the inside or the plunger will catch....Stu has instructions if needed.

Better off sending it to mountune and they will mod properly with a top hat

Be VERY carefull if drilling, try to use a bit of a knackered drill that is not too sharp, as it may grip the thin metal and twist it meaning it's most likely scrap.
Having seen it done, I would get a wooden dowel the same size as the insides to support it when drilling.

Cost me 150 for mountune to mod...

Think it was around an 8mm drill bit if I remember right....

Depends how muc AL it is running, so long as it can pass enough air, don't take it so far as to destroy the integrity of the housing though as it still needs to seal.
Just try 1mm bigger drill at a time, I would guess around 10mm, another way is to dremmel a few more slots in it, it will do the same job.

If you buy the ALS from me it comes with steop by step color instructions on how to modify the valve and body.

If your considering this, bear in mind that your car will no longer idle properly when cold, if at all.
