Default Whining from front wheel?

I have this whining sound that has just developed from my front wheel, dunno which one (think drivers). It only happens when the car is coasting (not under acceleration) and over 30mph.

Also the PAS seems to be stiffer than normal, could these be related??

sounds like a wheel bearing as you say when coasting say 30mph all the wait ison the front but when you put your foot down the front of the car lifts up less weight on front

The whining is not continuous and i thought if it was bearing the noise would be constant?? the whining is in pulses if that makes sense

its not you alternator belt is it? Might be slipping hence why the power steering could be heavy.

Although doesn't explain why it does it when its coasting.

Could be an wheel bearing or at worse a diff/gearbox bearing which i doubt.
