138.68mm althou obviously can be compensated for by running a thicker head gasket or skimming the pistons

Its what stu and other engine builders have posted up in the past to be the miminum 'reccomended' thickness as i asked and other ppl have asked in the past, obviously people have run less than that and do run less with no problems not saying its gospel and ur engine will blow up if its less than that am i but obviously when its gets that low its getting close to the valve seats as well and like i say if u run low comp or adjust the piston height etc it can compensate

but on stu's post he said 138.4mm,and then a hole huge debate went on and it was shown time and time again how heads thinner than this were working fine with no troubles at all.

and again would it not stand to reason that it would depend on the spec of the engine that the head was on?! like i said things can be adjusted to compensate and as long as clearanaces are checked then it isnt a problem is it. Must have missed that post then as it was a long time ago i asked and that was what i was told by a few people.
