cosworth cams
I have 7:6.1 compresstion with bd10 cams and a t34.63.
I have just bought a new cylinder head which I will get ported to the max.
What cams do you guys recommend..I want the car to have more low down and mid range power and response.
Cheers

If you want low down and midrange, don't port the head, especially if you are using a T34.63, std ports , std exhaust cam and either a std inlet or a BD14 inlet for a bit more top end......

I have had my current engine for 3 years now. Built by myself and mapped by msd. covered 15,000+miles with alot of track and santapod visits. Just want a change and just gauging where to go.
I have I have 7:6.1 compresstion with bd10 cams and a t34.63.
Forged pistons in a linered 200 block with greys. I run ALS also.
I want 450-500 but with the lag slightly reduced or kept the same and I want the car to idle properly which I have never been able to do with the bd10's
I was thinking of changing the turbo to a roller bearing t38 from r and b and fitting standard exhaust cam and maybe a bd14. I have a new unskimmed head in 100% condition which I was going to get opened up a bit.
Any one with experience of this spec?

right final question.
I have bought a T38 roller bearing turbo after good reports from some trusted people. Also bd14 inlet cam which will be used with a standard exhaust cam. My bottom end is already sorted. Aiming for the 450+ safe mark so last thing is the head spec.
I have a mint unskimmed head and want to know if the above spec can be reached without porting and polishing. I just dont want to spend a load of money on getting it re worked if it is just going to make the car less responsive etc.
