hello all , bought a xr3i a bit ago for track racing and am wondering if any1 has any good ideas to improve bhp with out spending a fortune by the way its a mk4 not efi all ideas would be appreciatted

well you could buy a lairy cam, ported head, zorst an filter.
Cheaper to drop a zetec in.
Cheapest way to make it faster is to strip out everything that you dont need, carpet, seats, dash, sound deadening.

same as above rip everything out remmeber the most powerfull cars aint always the most fun

true matey i think after ive paited it and got it looking quite good i htink that i will be happy , silly question but a couple of people have talked about outting a supercharger universal kit on is it poss and which is best to buy if so

not sure if it be worth you prob be cheaper buying a fezza turbo engine and fitting that rather than a supercharger

My car ran nasp CVH with 800 quid worth of head and cam, rebuilt bottom end and made 130bhp. Dropped an 1800 zetec in out of a 300 quid donor car and made 145 outta the box. And it's never leaked a drop of anything. Broke the donor car and made money on it too.
