ok, i have put my xr2 engine into my mk4 escort, but i have had to wire up the ignition myself as the previous engine has hcs management.

i had to guess what way round the posetive/negative (from coil) and ground go to the three pins on the ignition module on the dizzy. are there any components in there u can damage if u get the wires the rong way round lol??

as far as i know, ive tried every combination with the 3 pins on the dizzy, and ive changed the coil and the dizzy cap.

should i try changing the whole dizzy assembly with ignition module and find out what way the wires defo go on the module?? (that way ive changed eerything)

am i missing something out though???

can anyone sujjest anything?

does the engine turn over, awhy dont you check if you actually have a spark by removing the plug and attatching the HT lead, put the end of plug on rocker and turn her over, then you will see if she is sparking which means its a different problem.
