ur fusebox is gone mate.the mk5 fuseboxes are renowned for this ,the solder track inside the fusebox goes dry and u then lose continuity.thats y no fuses are blown and the heater will work with a live from the battery ,.my suggestion for a quick fix would b to wire up a relayed live feed from the battery connected to the ignition switch so that it will only work when u switch on the ignition as normal
Hi Zetecturbo i have just fond out after going to hit the horn that the sound is very weak it is hardley working would this go along with the fuse box going like u said checked the feed wire and i only have 5/6 volts going to that two but again have 10/11 volts at the fuse box???
HI all ref horn now fixed
bad earth cleaned up and works great ,but still not sorted the heater out. Zetecturbo i have checked the fuse box there is a good reading coming from there of 10/11 volts would the fuse box still be to blame for this?? thanks for all the help but still need more

Fuse box as said.
Its all very well running reverse feeds, but when other things fail they will start back feeding off your bodged in wire, and theres the potential fot overload/fires to happen!
Just thought i would warn you......
