testing a rev counter ?

mines decided to give in
its EFI engine with EFi clocks so usually reads ok, but recentely its doing nothing
can i test them to see if they are dead or its the wirring ?

i have tried messing giving earth and the counter seamed to move a little, but didn;t move much past zero, was expecting to get it right round with full earth or something
Well no you wont because its pulsed and youj'll never be able to do it at that kind of speed.
Look on the inner wing by EDIS, theres some green wires and you'll see a little black thingy plugged in, bet you thats knackered

pretty sure thats the problem well done again
moved tape back and one of the wires has totally frayed away
could do with checking the rest of this loom me thinks
i have no head on yet so sadley cant test the counter just yet lol
