Default slow transit swb 2.5 d

please help i have a transit on a m plate and it is so slow and really bad on fuel, at the moment its doing about 100 miles to £20 and its so slow.

any ideas please

Tweak the pump!!
I did this on my escort diesel and gained mpg and speed, as it developed a lot more torque then.

does it have a cat.if so make sure it hasnt collapsed causing a blockage,also has it been serviced ie air filter,fuel filter?

100 miles to £20 sounds about right to me, and when you say slow what are we talking?

empty the back .

mine does a bit more than 25 / £5 and its always full / gets full throttle rallied everywhere.

tab , stick us up some step by step tweak instructions

go on . insurance is void anyway ! frosties packet MOT isnt recognised by any insurers as far as i know

It is a little more difficult on these as have never done one, well not a newer one anyway!!
It is only a case of turning up the governor pressure, usually through a hole in the side of the pump body, but need to know precisely what engine and PUMP as no doubt there are different ones.
