Default cosworth smoking

i have a 2wd saph coss it doesnt smoke when driving normally or on boost but when you come to a standstill after about 30 sec it starts to smoke and it gets really bad but as soon as you drive off it clears any help apreciated cheers

Most likely a bit of both, turbo wear and stem seals.
Will be worse after giving it a good thrash ?

is it poss to change stem seals without removing the head cheers

Interesting question, in theory yes so liong as you can compress the valves and put rope etc in bores, would be a pig of a job though in situ.
Might it be worth trying some of the seal swell ?, you know the rejuvinator stuff like LECWEC.
Have a look in the pipes from turbo to intercooler to see if there is any oil there, if so it has come from your turbo, or engine breather, check these are clear first.

im currently havin this prob....i could do with a quick fix if it was stem seals i only need it to last a month or so until i rebuild anyway

i will have a look in the boost pipe 2morow and see. never heard of lecwec where do you get it from how much and how do you use it cheers
