Default Problems running a floating bearing turbo with no DV?

Hi all,

Can anyone shed some light on whether or not running a T28 turbo with no dump valve is going to cuase any significant problems?

I've heard mixed opinion so far, some say it will be fine others say it will snap the shaft like a twig.

The turbo I have to fit has no bearing upgrade as far as I know, just the standard 270.

If I really need a dump valve I will fit one, otherwise it's an expense I will do without for this installation.

Thanks
Jim
