i'm using a cometic gasket and thinking about it its been shit since then so a leak it could be..

Question: when removing the plugs to see down the bores mine are wet/oily deposits is this another sign or usual???

cheers guys grey cells are working now i would say it is the gasket

Could be (normally) pressurised water seeping into a pot via a H/G failure after the engine's turned off.

Sniffer test should tell you what's what.

Only found out the rad has gone due to fitting a new clutch cable, which did not sort out the problem so a new clutch aswell

Had a sniff test today to see if gasket has gone and yes it has..(i've thought this for a while but could not be bother to check it out)

so it will be brand new when i've done this

Not bad thou hav'nt spent a great deal on it,my mate had an alfa 147 gta they wanted £700 for a cambelt and a service no thats a piss take..
