Default ERST misfire/idle issue

Hi.

I've fitted a 1.8ZVHT engine to my xr2. The wiring loom is from a F-plate S2 and the ECU is from a S1 (Bailey's chip). Also fitted is a Stg2 turbo, which has been sitting in the loft for about 3 years.

I've managed to get her started and when cold she will idle nicely until about 3 secs later, she will start to splutter and stall.

From then on, she won't idle at all as she starts to misfire as soon as it has stopped cranking over and immediatly stalls.

I have to keep it over 2k rpm as under that she threatens to to stall, even with some throttle. Over 2K rpm, she will keep at the set RPM, but has a slight mis-fire. However she WILL take the foot - i.e. rev happily, but as soon as the revs are held, it starts to misfire - more apparient at low revs.

I held it at 4K and there was still a very slight misfire but no where near as much at 2K and lower.

The HT leads and dizzy cap are new (checked the resistance over them too) The spark plugs, TPS, dizzy, rotary arm, cold start, TTS, coolant temp sensor and Aux air device run fine with the engine before I took it out of the doner car and put it into my XR2.

I checked the resistance of the air flow pot and that is reading fine throughout the range.

The battery light stays on even though the battery is charging at about 13.5v?!?!? I checked and cleaned the connection between the alternator and starter, but made no difference. Could this be symbolising a current drain, hence the misfire?

I've checked for air leaks (all pipes were effectively new too) and removed my dump valve to eliminate that.
I've got a 3 way bleed valve fitted instead of a AMAL valve. This is plumbed in between the -31 actuator and the compressor housing, with the middle part of the bleed valve, just going to atmosphere. Is this correctly plumbed up? I've had the screw fully wound in and out and makes no difference to the boost. I've tried to ask people on different BB's but nobody will tell me is I'm doing this correctly.

Any help would be great.

on the distributor you got a plastic cap. Try turning it round. A friend of mine had slight mis like yours and it was on the wrong way. Goes on both ways but one way will be flush!

Tried that!

Yeh, it has to sit in flush, as I remembered I did that during the N/A days when the cap wouldn't fit properly. Learn by your mistakes and all that. lol!

Cheers for the reply anyway.
