Default Idle problem (I think)

Hello,

Wondering if someone can help, just over the last week or so my car Escort Si 1996 seems to be chugging, for example when I put the accelerator down when standing it splutters then revs up as normal and I've noticed when I drop into 2nd or any lower gear it judders then goes ok...

I've just moved in a new house so don't want to spend £100's and was wondering if someone could possible help

Many thanks

Check and clean the ISCV. If that does not help unplug the MAF and see if gets better. If it doe, check the electrical conections to the MAF and clean the inside with carb cleaner.
