Default slowly boosting cossie

I seem to have a problem that i cannot solve, i have a low comp cossie with all the toys on and am running a T35 turbo
When it comes on boost it it hits 16 psi and then slowly climbs to 20psi by 6000rpm and then from 6200 it climbs to 26psi

i would of thought with a .48 exst hsg it should spool up to the required 28psi by 5000rpm

i tried removing the white plug (jet) out of the amal valve to see if it would help but to no avail!!!!

should i not be running an amal valve at 26-28psi????????
could it be in the map itself???
could it be something stupid that i am missing??

I have checked for air leaks in the boost control systems and on the intake side and it is just baffling me ... it was better at stage 3 with a std T3 on it , it held 24 psi and spooled up immediatly!!!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!

I had this problem myself it went after we messed with the actuator for abit if its a collins 1 try taking it apart and check for wear on the rubber diaphram, if no rips or wear try backing the actuator off untill theres no pre-load and slowly wind it back up 1 full turn at a time and testing it each turn to see what she runs

I have a normal garret -31 actuator and have loads of pre-load on it as i thought the more preload the higher the boost, i will back it off and try though as i just want this thing right

The main prob is that i am having to scream the nuts out of it to make it fly and as its quite loud i keep getting those looks and pointing fingers

ooohhhh noooo
right i reset my preload to standard(half a hole) removed the jet completly, stuck a bleed valve between the amal and wastegate and even with this completly unscrewed ie bleeding it all, i still only make 20psi??????(tried 2 boost gauges as well)

could this be a problem with the wastegate itself as it just will not make good pressure unless i wind up the preload loads on the actuator!!!!
and then it only makes it at plus 6500rpm

I would of thought i could get at least 26 psi witha t35 as i could make 24psi with a t3?????

All i can think of is that the wastegate is fooked on this turbo's exst hsg

HELP!!!!!

You need to know the actuator strength before condeming a wastegate.

i have the same prob as pugo
also i have low comp pistons with t34 running on greens
and mine as loads of lag
is this because the compression ratio has been lowered and whould it run better back on t3

your lag could be down to the compression ratio, what ratio have you gone down too

Guys,
Check the wastegate valve for any cracks or distortions,It must close perfectly. This is very common on these turbine housings.

Default aha i found it!!!!!

holy shite ..... i found the problem !!!

I bought a .63 hsg and fitted it the other night and still i had the same probs

Then i went to undo the actuater bracket from the compressor hsg and one of the bolts just spun round and round( stripped thread), this has been allowing the actuater to not hold the wastgate shut fully!!(as its been flexing where its not secure)

re-tapped the comp hsg, reset the preload and behold 28psi and holding

now i remember why its all worth it .....hehehehe

its a missile again
