Does a mk 5 CVH powered escort with a standard 5 speed box have the same mounting points as a mk 3 escort S1 gearbox, been told by some one they have, I want to re build my propper l.s.d box but need something to keep the vehicle mobile while I do and have been offered this mk 5 box, will it fit? Thanks guys.

Thanks guys for your input just been off and purchased a mk 5 xr3i box to put in the S1, while the propper box gets a re build.

hopefully it isnt the mtx75 box as found in the 130 3i as thats the same box as the derv, and RS with different drivershafts and gear selector

I think the majority of MK5's have the BC type box, ive got a 1.6 zetec shit box and thats got a BC box

Think its only the RS2000's that have MTX boxes.
