Yesterday i had a gearbox fitted by mr.clutch, they then took the car round the block to try the gearbox out, they then switched it off, and it wouldn't start again, dodgy starter motor, they fitted a new starter motor and all was fine until this morning, it just turns over, i took the starter motor out and i could turn the teeth by hand, so rang mr.clutch who said when it engages with the flywheel it will lock up, so took there word for it, i took a spark plug out and it's sparking, i put the car in gear and it bumps never started tho.

Any ideas??

check the gearbox earth strap is connected

 

If that's the cable that bolts onto the gearbox via the starter, then that's earthed fine as when i had the starter out i checked the connection, if it's something else let me know so i can check that

 

did u say it turns over but wont fire?

or wont it turn over either?

did u say u can bump it but it still wont start?

they aint knocked the crank position sensor have they?
